Build an Emergency Kit

In every disaster, you will need to have supplies ready just in case. Each member of your family should have an “Emergency Kit”. These are essential, and easy to store.

Here is how to make one and what you should put in it.

Steps To Build an Emergency Kit

  1. Water
    Get water. One gallon of water per person per day for at least three days, this water will be used for drinking and sanitation.
  2. Food
    Have at least a three day supply of non-perishable food.
  3. Battery-Powered Radio
    With a tone alert for information on the disaster. Make sure you have extra batteries.
  4. Flashlight
    What good is a flashlight without batteries? Make sure you have extra.
  5. First Aid Kit
  6. Something to signal for help with
  7. Cell Phone with chargers
